Coastal Glenelg apartment.
How we achieved this look:
Layout
For this Glenelg apartment the major design challenge was creating a layout that would work hard in a such a compact space. Creating a statement focal point as the first thing guests see when they walk in worked well for this property.
2. Tonnes of texture
For the coastal and Scandinavian design style my client preferred, lots of texture was layered into this apartment. Rattan, jute, leather, natural timbers, flowing drapes and soft cottons all helped to create an understated layering that feels like home.
3. Art that connects
Splurging on artwork that was meaningful to this Glenelg location elevated the whole space. The use of beautiful art in each bedroom and the living spaces helped to tell the story of travel and the ocean, and varying the orientation and display of the artworks created a truely unique space.
